Sydney Contemporary 2022

GAG members were treated to some VIP passes to the Sydney Contemporary Art Fair at Carriageworks, after a hiatus of 2 years, due to COVID. 5 days, starting on the Wednesday VIP opening afternoon/evening still wasnt enough time to view over 90 galleries (some 450 artists) of art.

The VIP passes also allowed members to utilised the green room, for a quick escape away from the crowds, grab a coffee and a sit down. I have to admit that we had something a little stronger, a few times during the art fair - very grateful it was sponsored by Glenfiddich, purely medicinal.

The passes also allowed attendance of other events around Sydney as part of the Art Festival - we used ours to visit Aida Tomescu studio in Roseberry - and thoroughly enjoyed her talk too.
